Ashes of Time Redux (2008)

The ultimate version of "East Evil and West Poison" has been restored and re-edited. The film is based on Jin Yong's martial arts masterpiece "The Legend of the Eagle Shooting Hero", but the main line of the story becomes the unpopular Ouyang Feng (played by Zhang Guorong) in the original work. Ouyang Feng left his hometown Baila Mountain because his former lover (played by Zhang Manyu) was angry with his brother and came to the desert to open a restaurant specializing in introducing killers...The restored version and the 1994 version are slightly different in terms of picture, duration, soundtrack, title, dialogue and camera.
