About
An experimental non-fiction film documenting a weekend spent at the filmmaker’s home, captured using nothing but a microphone and a vintage film camera.
Through the lens of a vintage film camera, we follow the filmmaker as he joins his family for a weekend at home. Exploring the static nature of memory, we are only exposed to 36 photographs and the sounds happening around them. Ephemeral experiences are given cinematic importance, telling the story of a few days in a family’s life through tiny snapshots. A thanksgiving dinner. A cat purring by the fireplace. Onions burning in a student kitchen. A train ride home. A few fleeting experiences that would have otherwise washed away are preserved in a time capsule. 36 pictures worth 36,000 words for love.
