Across four episodes, This Is Our Story brings together footage, testimonies and evidence from inside Iran to document protests and a violent crackdown that unfolded largely beyond the world's view. Beginning on 28 December 2025, the series traces the spread of protests across the country, culminating in the mass demonstrations of 8 and 9 January - 18 and 19 Dey - following a call to action by Prince Reza Pahlavi. It documents the crackdown that followed, the search for the missing and the dead, and the harrowing scenes at Kahrizak, where families looked among the bodies for their loved ones. The series follows those families through funerals, mourning and 40-day memorials, bearing witness to their grief and their continued courage and resistance. Through what Iranians themselves recorded and witnessed, This Is Our Story preserves the voices of those who lived it.
