“Some victories require more than just a bite.”
Ilmu Penguat Gigitan is a short comedy film about pride, ambition, and the absurd lengths people will go to for a simple victory. In a small village, the annual cracker-eating competition is more than just a game. For years, Mang Bonex has remained undefeated, turning his victory into a local legend. Determined to finally beat him, four challengers seek the help of a mysterious shaman who claims to possess a secret technique capable of strengthening their bites. What follows is a bizarre journey of rituals, belief, and misplaced confidence, as an ordinary village competition is treated like a battle of epic proportions. Blending everyday village life with exaggerated mystical elements, the film finds comedy in the contrast between the seriousness of its characters and the absurdity of what they are fighting for.
